Visual Acuity Test
Used to measure the sharpness of your vision, with a projected eye chart to measure your distance acuity, and a small, hand held eye chart to measure your near vision.
Refraction Test
Determines the eyeglass prescription, using an instrument called a phoropter with a series of lenses. Our Optometrists will ask which of the lenses works best to clear your vision. Your
answers will determine the level of your farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
Eye Teaming, Focusing, and Binocular Vision Test
The Optometrists will closely observe how much your eyes must move covered and uncovered to refocus on an object at a certain distance. This will determine how well your eyes work together as a team and if they are properly aligned.
Contact Lens Services
The contact lens evaluation encompasses the full range of contact lenses, both cosmetic and therapeutic including spherical and toric hydrophilic lenses, keratoconic, pediatric aphakic, adult aphakic, aniridic, anisometropic rigid gas permeable lenses, and bandage contact lenses.
Services include:
- Evaluation, fit and prescription of contact lenses;
- Appropriate follow-up care; and
- Instruction on proper contact lens care and usage.
